Did I forget to mention that Saturday was also Teddy's Birthday K?

Haha...actually, I just didn't want to give the birthday boy too much props. Man, he had a freaking 40 people jam packed into the largest room at TakeOne Karaoke in order to celebrate his birthday. How can anyone know so many people? People that would actually show up and go to your birthday party? He must have given out lots of favours, or else, he must have been real nice to people during the year.
And no, I don't have any pictures. I don't have a camera, remember? My parents took my camera to China, and they are coming back this weekend. Unfortunately, this Sunday is also the day that I have to take my Japanese Language Proficiency Exam. Great...I can go fail in spectacular fashion. You know, after 10 hours at work, you really can't get the mood to study for another 2 hours. I can totally understand why people choose to veg infront of the tele after work. I would want to do the same thing. Anything that doesn't require me to think. Not that I do much of that at work either. Hahahahha...I must be the best at pretending to be busy. I take the simplest of tasks and add layers of complexity to it, so when my manager comes by, I can tell him how hardworking I am. Nice.

Danny's gone

Just like that, Danny Tseng has finished his whirlwind tour of Toronto. During this particular tour, he was seen several times at TakeOne Karaoke, clubbing in Toronto, as well as at a Raptors basketball game.
Here's wishing he goes back to San Jose without being alcohol poisoned...!

Raptors won!

Went to watch the Raptors today and they won!!! Wow...haha...nice. Vince was good in the first quarter, but he didn't even get off teh bench in the 2nd half...man...but Bosh was good, if he could only make his free throws. Let's get JYD back...he looks so lost in NY...!

Danny's back

My good friend, Danny, came back to visit from San Jose. Wohoo! Yesterday, we went out to K and got really drunk. Wohoo! Just like old times...haha. He's staying for a week, hopefully, we'll have time to go out and have more fun. Welcome back, Danny-boy! J

Sleep! I gotta sleep!

After working, I finally understand why all my friends just sleep their weekends away. You find that you're chronically lacking sleep...and you're always tired...and you just want to lay down and sleep all the time. This also gets to you when you're driving. You become easily irritated, prone to road rage...etc etc...I think the government should implement a siesta period ala the Mexicans. That would sure solve a lot of problems...hehehe

1 week into the job...

It's been 1 week into my new job, and as with any job, there are pros and cons. I think my biggest gripe with this job is the pay...it's LOW! But then, I'm grateful for the chance to learn finance stuff as I work, so I can't really complain. The people are really nice too, that's a big pro for the job. My manager is an ex-civil engineer, so I think he understands some of the problems I'm going through, and he's making it easier for me to adjust by bringing me along slowly.
Another big pro for the job is that I get to learn REAL business stuff. I'm in the support group for interest and credit derivatives, so basically, I work to make sure all the deals are entered correctly into the new system, and check up on anything mysterious or suspicious. So, yea, it's kind of exciting to go through deals for millions of dollars, too bad they aren't my money. hahaha.
